Saalbach Hinterglemm ski area, Salzburg, Austria
|
| | I went skiing in Saalbach once in the late 80's so this review may be out of date. It's a great ski area, the snow is good. The lines were a bit on the long side down in the valley but maybe they fixed that since then. Many of the skiers seemed very irritaded and edgy, maybe due to the long lines? Or maybe just a cultural thing, I don't know. But the skiing was great, no complaints there. says Bob.
Saalbach Hinterglemm has loads of runs and lots of good ski lifts. This is a standard size ski hill having a roughly |
|
average altitude difference if compared to other Austria ski hills. This ski mountain has a much lower than average part of challenging slopes and a much higher than average fraction of easy runs. All in all there are 200 runs to select from; there are ample runs
| | for every capability. The 56 lifts here are amusing to get a ride with. Snowboarding and skiing in this region is a lot of fun every day of the winter season. Getting a bit of magnificent exercise and spending some quality time in nature have snow skiers coming here. This ski resort has a vertical drop of 3,585 feet which is really mind-boggling. With 50,000 acres of skiing land you will never be short of skiable terrain. Saalbach Hinterglemm is a family friendly ski area with lots of intermediate or beginner trails. | |
