This is a mid-size ski mountain having a drop from top to bottom that's more or less average compared to other Northern Europe ski areas. This ski mountain has a much lower than average percentage of expert and advanced ski slopes and a much higher than average fraction of easy runs. | | land. All the 28 slopes here are great. The 659 foot elevation difference is unsurprisingly not that much to brag about, but Ruka/Kuusamo makes up for it by other means. When this segment of Finland is covered in fluffy snow; it is truly a glorious time of year for skiing or snowboarding. Getting your skiing muscles started and spending some quality time in the outdoors have people coming here. | |
