Alyeska

I think Alyeska has the highest elevation drop in Alaska but I could be wrong. Needless to say we're pretty ok with snow up here in Alaska, there's so much snow here you can't believe it. The skiing is perfect perfect! I cannot get enough of this mountain ever! Do wear plenty of clothes though. Says Brian Nelson.

Alyeska has an average share of challenging ski trails and an average ratio of blue and green runs. Alyeska has a reasonable assortment of
runs and enough lifts to serve them all. No other ski hill for 1965 miles has a more sky-scraping height difference. The 9 great ski lifts here are in nice condition. The phenomenal 65 feet of seasonal snowfall is one of the reasons
this is such a nice ski area. The skiing and the snowboarding in Alaska is a great thing to do all ski season long. A wonderful workout and just being on the runs for a while beats anything. In wintertime the Chugach Mountains is an unbelievably perfect spot if you enjoy snowboarding or skiing. Alyeska's elevation difference of 2,500 feet is great. The peaks of the Chugach Mountains give this ski resort an unbelievably perfect scenery. The annual snowfall
is stronger than average at Alyeska. This is a conventional size ski resort with a roughly average drop when compared to other west coast ski hills. All in all there are 68 ski runs to pick from; it's a nice collection. The Alaska peaks during ski season are a perfect spot for snowboarding or skiing. Having such a full-size ski terrain, 1,000 acres in all you will never be short of skiable area. Alyeska is a splendid ski area with loads of different slopes; it's just not possible to get bored here. The marvelous mountain vista of Alaska and first-rate slopes are in themselves reason enough to come here to ski. No need to hunt hard for rooms, but do book a room ahead of going because it is a very popular destination. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, in this general neighborhood, you won't come upon many other ski hills.
