Northstar at Tahoe   All of the 17 different ski lifts make for a calming ride up the hill. This ski hill gets blanketed by heavier snowfall than the local average every snow season. Having a total of 70 trails to ski on; there's a great variety to please everyone. Having the skiable area being 2,420 acres being deficient in ski terrain won’t happen. This ski resort has a much lower than average ratio of advanced and expert slopes and a much higher than average percentage of blue and     green trails. The elevation difference of 2,280 feet is a perfect drop. Getting some good exercise and getting out of the house for a while attract ski folks from all over. This is a larger than average ski mountain with an average elevation difference if compared to other west coast ski hills. Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, there are lots of good places for that in the vicinity. Northstar at Tahoe has a good collection of trails and a wonderful choice of good ski lifts. This is a family friendly ski area with many beginner and intermediate trails for learners. No need to hunt hard for accommodations, but do book a room before heading out given that it is a very popular destination.   This ski resort gets covered by so much snow, 29 feet every season, and that is one of the reasons this is such a great ski resort. This ski area has a delightful assortment of trails; it's totally impossible to get bored here. In wintertime the Northern Sierra Nevada is a complete skiing or snowboarding paradise. The summits of California in the winter are always good for skiing or snowboarding. The delightful landscape of the California highlands and fabulous trails are in themselves cause enough to come here to ski.
