Located at 7100 feet, Anthony Lakes boasts the highest base elevation in Oregon, generating an abundance of cool, dry snowfall. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, Ski Anthony Lakes provides an exquisite getaway. Only 150 miles from the Tri-Cities area, Anthony Lakes is a beautiful     scenic drive along I-84 and has been a snowrider?s dream destination for over 70 years. Harboring the driest snow in the region, Ski Anthony Lakes is home to some of the finest, most accessible backcountry riding in the country. Backcountry enthusiasts can access 2000 acres of steeps, bowls, and glades via guided snowcat tours. Nordic skiers can enjoy 33km of both classic and skate groomed trails that are surrounded by Eastern Oregon beauty and serenity. The resort?s 21 runs are accessed via a triple chair that reaches 900 vertical feet. A handle tow and magic carpet are located at the base area accommodating all levels of skiers. Anthony Lakes offers a full service rental shop,   Nordic Center, Learning Center, snowmobile trail access, and trailer parking. At the base of towering alpine peaks, the Day Lodge provides snowriders and nonsnowriders with food service, and a warm place to mingle and watch the slopes. The Starbottle Saloon proudly serves the 2006 Great American Beer Festival first place award winner, Tumble Off Pale Ale. Tumble Off is brewed locally at Barely Brown?s Brew Pub, a fun, family friendly pub located in Baker City (35 miles from Ski Anthony Lakes). Ski Anthony Lakes? days of operation are Thursday-Sundays.
