Big Sky Resort along with Moonlight Basin is the biggest skiing in America with over 5500 acres of terrain and an endless variety of runs. With non-stop flights from Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Denver, Boise, Seattle, Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles its quick and easy to arrive here. A beautiful drive 50 miles south of Bozeman through the Gallatin Canyon will take you to the 11,166 foot
    peak of Lone Mountain to begin your vacation.

Drop in to Big Sky?s 4,350 feet of vertical drop, ride and ski over 150 + named runs, experience over 400 inches of annual snowfall and relax in a winter resort destination with
small town charm. If steep and extreme are what you crave hop off of the Lone Peak Tram into some of the best lift accessible double black diamond runs in the country. If the tram is not what you after enjoy the numerous beginner and intermediate runs that make up 40% of our terrain.

If you need a little advice our experts at the Snowsports School are available for everything from never-ever been on snow to Tram guides. Group lessons and private instruction
 
can be reserved no matter what your needs.

Show off your skills in one of our three terrain parks or air out of the super pipe and dial in your tricks. Regardless of your ability level there is a park for and terrain to fit your needs. Big Sky?s 21 lifts will take you to any run and terrain you desire. New this season will also have the Family Fun Zone, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm-8pm, the Zone will have tubing and some free-ride features and jibs.

Yellowstone National Park is just 18 miles away with the West Yellowstone entrance only 48 miles south of Big Sky Resort. In the winter take a guided hike around the park. Ride a snow-coach to Old Faithful Lodge and check out the wildlife. Cross- country ski along the Riverside Trail or snowshoe to frozen Mystic Falls near the Upper Geyser Basin.

After a hard day of sliding on the snow relax in one of our numerous village bars or restaurants while you listen to live music and enjoy a beverage or a bite to eat. Check out 24 dining options, 14 within walking distance from the mountain village. Our full service spa will ease you tired legs and the Kids Club and numerous other activities will keep the whole family busy.
