Marshall Mountain
| | If it is the same place I skied in 1957-58, it may be one of the best kept secrets in the N. Rockies. Great dry snow and almost no crowds. Used to ski behind the Bennett sisters from St. Regis, and (he never knew it) behind Rudy Ruana, NCAA Big Sky slalom champ in 1960. Rudy went on to coach at the USAF Academy. Says Buck Wheat.
Marshall has been closed for quite sometime now, but for the weekend of February 6-7 2010, The Backwoods Project will be |
running the Ride Montana Festival at the base area. It will include an open terrain park and contest as well as a line up of live music. Check out thebackwoodsproject.com for more information. Says Gregg Janecky.
Lovely little
| ski mountain. They have night skiing too, very very good. Says Branda.
This ski resort gets blanketed by so much white snow, 13 feet every season, and that is one of the reasons this is such a glorious ski resort. The 1,500 feet of vertical drop is relatively ok; Marshall Mountain makes good use of it all. This ski area has a much lower than average ratio of red and black runs and a much higher than average share of intermediate or beginner ski runs. | |

This ski resort has 400 acres of skiable territory, and it's all in fine shape. There are 3 lifts here, and they will get you up the slope efficiently. No need to search hard for accommodations, but if you don’t have reservations,
you could end up slumbering in your car. The winter vista of the Montana mountains and the great sense of rocketing down the ski trails are reason enough to come here to ski. Please refer to the trailmap of Marshall Mountain on this
net page for information. This ski mountain boasts an average amount of snow each ski season. Marshall Mountain has a somewhat small assortment of ski runs and not too many lifts. Marshall Mountain is a smaller than average ski hill
in possession of an average vertical drop if compared to other US Rockies ski mountains. All the 23 runs here are delightful. A pleasant workout and just hanging out with your skiing mates is better than anything. The Montana mountains
during ski season are a nice place for snowboarding or skiing. Since you're on this internet page you are perhaps into skiing or snowboarding, either way, in this general vicinity, you'll find lots of ski hills. Snowboarding and skiing in this region is a delightful thing to do during the winter.
