| | Jiminy Peak ski area Management Says: Jiminy Peak is the largest four-season resort in southern New England offering 45 trails and 3 terrain parks on 1,150 feet of vertical rise. Located in Hancock, MA, Jiminy Peak is capable of making snow on 93% of its terrain, and lighting 20 of its trails allowing for night skiing until 10pm. It is the home of the Berkshire Express, the region's only 6 passenger high-speed chairlift, which brings you to the summit in |
less than 5 minutes! The mountain is also served by 2 quads, 3 triples, a double, and two magic carpets.
In 2007, Jiminy Peak became the first ski resort to construct its own wind turbine on property, for the purpose of powering
| its operations. Named Zephyr, the turbine stands 386 feet tall, and produces about a third of the total energy requirements of the resort.
Jiminy Peak's Base Area includes a beautiful Village Center that addresses all of your needs. As you arrive and unload in the drop off area, you first notice the Paul Major welcome center. Burbank Children's Center is home to Jiminy's SkiWEE and Explorer programs, and the Cub's Den Playroom. Up the steps to the Village Center, you'll find 'Just Jiminy' a logo store perfect for finding that vacation souvenir. For those
of you who are interested in purchasing vacation property, visit Jiminy Realty, to learn about all of your options for owning at Jiminy Peak. Stop into Mountain Sports if you forgot any necessary equipment, or are looking to demo
or upgrade. If you just need skis for the day the Rental Shop entrance is right next door. Purchase your tickets at the front of Crane Lodge, and sign up for lessons in the lower level of JJ's Lodge. You can make all the stops that
you need on your way to the slopes in one convenient area!
For those of you who are interested in ski vacations, Jiminy Peak offers a number of lodging options. The Country Inn, an all-suite hotel is located slopeside. Also
available are 2, 3 and 4 bedroom condominium rentals located throughout the property in order to accommodate your needs.
Jiminy Peak is devoted to constantly improving the experience that it offers. New for this season is Deer
Run, a trail off of Upper Slingshot, along with a greatly improved John Hancock trail, now with snowmaking and lighting, and a widened and re-graded Outback!
Finally, before you leave, don't forget to take a ride on the Mountain Coaster. It's the only one in the Northeast, so make sure you get a chance to experience it!
