Swain   This ski area has an average ratio of red and black runs and an average share of beginner and intermediate trails. There's 100 acres of skiing territory, and it's all blanketed by wonderful snow. There are 6 great ski lifts here, and they will get you up the mountain well. This is a relaxed ski hill featuring a medium drop when compared to other east coast ski mountains. A 650 foot altitude difference is naturally not that much, but Swain makes up for it in     other ways. Swain gets an average amount of snow every ski season. With a total of 30 slopes to ski on; there are sufficient slopes for every ability. The skiing and the snowboarding in New York is lots of fun all winter long. Swain has a decent diversity of trails and an okay pick of good ski lifts. No other ski mountain for 57 miles has a more towering drop from top to bottom. The tremendous 11 feet of yearly snowfall is one of the reasons this is such a great ski resort. Getting your skiing muscles activated and an opportunity to spend some time in the wilderness attract snow folks from far and wide. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, there are lots of splendid places for that   in the vicinity. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit far from the main area if you want to stay an extra day, but if you don’t have reservations, you may perhaps end up sleeping in your car. The wintertime months in New York is the most marvelous time of the year for snowboarding and skiing.
