Thunder Ridge
| | I've been skiing at thunder ridge since I was 5. So when I moved, it was a HUGE disapiontment to have such good skiing taken away. Says Jack.

much to brag about, but Thunder Ridge has so many other nice characteristics. Thunder Ridge obtains snowfall close to the local average each ski season. This ski mountain has 100 acres of skiing territory, and all of it makes for
| nice skiing. The 8 feet of white snow that falls here every winter keeps the depth delightful. You may be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, this is a region with a heap of ski mountains for that. range to please everyone. This is a relaxed ski mountain in possession of a relatively small altitude difference when you compare it to other ski mountains in the region. Not too many hotel rooms nearby, you'll have to drive a bit
to get to one, but you'd better book in advance of a trip since these hotel rooms fill up fast. This ski mountain has a much lower than average part of black and red ski runs and a much higher than average fraction of blue and green
trails. This is a popular ski hill for skiers from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown. Thunder Ridge is a family friendly ski area with scores of intermediate or beginner ski slopes for beginners. Please refer to the trailmap of Thunder
