If you are looking to learn the basics of a new winter sport or expand your skills in one you already participate in, the Bolton Valley Ski and Snowboard School is the place for you. The school offers
| a wide array of lessons tailored to everyone from kids to adults and beginners to advances skiers and riders.
Great food, we have that too. Whether you choose to dine at the James Moore Tavern or grab a quick bite at the Deli or in the Cafeteria, Bolton Valley has something to satisfy your craving.

within a short walking distance. Restaurants are conveniently located within the village. And of course our base lodge and rental shop are ski-in ski-out for your convenience. After a great day on the slopes, relax in the Sports Center's

Skiing Description

of Vermont is Bolton Valley Resort. It is a unique, high mountain alpine village surrounded by over 5,000 pristine acres. At Bolton Valley the recreational opportunities are as numerous as the views are spectacular. Whether your interest
is skiing or snowboarding, telemark or Nordic, backcountry or night skiing, Bolton Valley has it all in abundance
Bolton Valley offers 64 trails for Alpine skiing and riding. All the trails head back to the main base area or
the Timberline lodge providing for a family friendly atmosphere. Challenge yourself on our back diamonds or enjoy the cruisers. We also offer kids lessons on terrain perfectly suited to the younger skiers and riders. Bolton Valley
Nordic Center offers 100km of trails, including 35km of groomed trails in addition to skate skiing and trails with a more backcountry feel.
Food Description Bailey's offers fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Entrees are complemented
by a carefully crafted wine list. Bailey's executive chef is eager to utilize Vermont grown produce, meat and poultry, assuring diners of a memorable experience.
The James Moore Tavern is a cozy pub which offers classic Vermont
favorites, some surprising delights, 18 beers on tap featuring several local brews, and live or DJ entertainment.
The Fireside Restaurant offers signature wood fired flatbreads, pizza as it should be! Enjoy your flatbread with
one of our local draft beers, or choose from our eclectic mix of wines in an upbeat family-friendly atmosphere.
The Deli and Grocery offers both prepared foods and last-minute supplies with on-hill convenience.
Nightlife
Our on-mountain establishments provide several atmospheres from which to choose, with frequent entertainment at the James Moore Tavern topping the list for a lively evening. If that's not quite enough for you, Burlington, with over
100 bars and restaurants, is just 30 minutes away.
Lodging The Inn at Bolton Valley, located slope-side and in the heart of the base area village complex, offers 60 traditional hotel rooms. The Inn is a favorite choice for
skiers and riders who prefer the convenience of ski in, ski out accommodations.
In addition to traditional hotel room, we offer studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom accommodations in the hotel. Condominiums within easy walking
distance to the lifts, featuring 1 - 4 bedrooms.
Whats New For 2008-09, Bolton Valley is further expanded snowmaking. Improvements including replacement of 5,500ft of 4'' snowmaking pipe with 6'' pipe to allow us to pump more
water through the system. We have also added two SMI Pole Cat fan guns which will be mounted in the terrain park, giving us the capacity to blow a tremendous amount of snow in the park.
We have also added a new Prinoth Bison
Groomer to our grooming fleet. The addition puts our total number of groomers at five and will allow us to provide a better quality skiing and riding surface over more of the mountain more often.
Guests will also notice a new
look in the main lodge's cafeteria. Bolton Valley has invested in new tables and seating to provide more comfort for those taking a break for a cup of cocoa or having a bite to eat.
The rental fleet has been upgraded with several
new skis from Rossignol and boards from Burton.
For the 2009-2010 season we are further improving our green initiative by adding a Wind Turbine to the top of the Vista Quad. This Wind Turbine will offset a proportion of our
energy consumption.
Lessons The Bolton Valley Ski and Snowboard School upholds a tradition of being a great place to learn, with small class sizes, enthusiastic and professional instructors, and terrain appropriate for any
skill level. We offer group and private lessons; our 90-minute first-timer lessons; weekly Ridge Runner program for kids with advanced skiing and riding skills.
Local Attractions Located only 30 minutes from Burlington Vermont
and 15 minutes from Waterbury Vermont, the surrounding area of Bolton Valley offers plenty to do. Burlington is the largest city in Vermont and offers several dinning options as well as nightlife featuring national touring acts. Waterbury
is a quaint Vermont town, which is also home to the Ben and Jerry's factory.
Racing The Bolton Valley Race Club programs are designed with the young athlete's long term development in mind. Our goal is to help skiers compete
to the best of their ability and to instill a healthy competitive drive with a love of the sport in a fun atmosphere.
