Cannonsburg
| | This is like a local little ski hill but places like Cannonsburg are good when you really gotta go skiing for a few hours. It's not like Colorado but it's nice to get your ski muscles warmed up a bit and suck in some refreshing winter air. Says Mark.
Cannonsburg has three lifts, of which only two are consistently in operation, and a pair of tow ropes. There is an old T-Bar that I haven't seen run a single time in the last five years. You will find no bumps |
and honestly very little that is interesting here except for the terrain park if you are into that. The lodge is ancient and the bathrooms consistently stink. This is a fine place to learn how to ski/snowboard if you don't mind paying
| top dollar for the privilege, but any winter sports enthusiast in their right mind would head farther north on the weekends. Says Richard Wed, 9 Dec 2009.
The nearest ski hill with a more towering height difference is 35 miles away. This is a mid-size ski mountain having a medium drop compared to other mid west ski hills. This ski area gets 8 feet of great snow per season, and that keeps the coverage wonderful. Cannonsburg has a rather humble selection | |
|
of runs and a good pick of lifts. This ski hill has 12 ski lifts, and they will get you up the mountain well. Cannonsburg has a much lower than average proportion of tough ski runs and a much higher than average part of green and
blue runs. The best piece of information on this resort is unsurprisingly the ski trail map of Cannonsburg on this page. The annual snowfall is approximately average at Cannonsburg. Getting a splendid workout and just hanging out
with your skiing mates will make you pleased you came. This ski mountain has 100 acres of skiing area, and all of it makes for great skiing. The 18 runs at this ski hill are totally fun. A 250 foot height difference is of course not
that much, but Cannonsburg makes up for it in other ways. This is a popular ski hill for skiers from Grand Rapids-Wyoming. Not too many places to stay in the vicinity, you'll have to travel a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve
previous to going in view of the fact that these places to stay fill up quick. The wintertime in Michigan is the most glorious time of the year for snowboarding or skiing. This is a perfect place for the whole family with loads of green and blue ski trails.
