This ski area gets blanketed by less snowfall than the local average each snow season. This ski area has a much lower than average ratio of red and black runs and a much higher than average share of blue and green runs. The 6 feet of ice cold snow that falls here per year keeps the coverage good. There are 7 ski lifts here, and they are in good condition. but Swiss Valley has so many other great characteristics. The winter months in Michigan is the most grandiose time of the year for snowboarding or skiing. This is a mid-size ski area having a medium altitude difference when compared
| to other mid west ski resorts. All the 11 slopes here are good to ski on. Swiss Valley has a somewhat humble range of runs and enough lifts to serve them all. You have to go 23 miles to get to a ski resort with a fuller-size height difference. A magnificent workout and just hanging out with your skiing friends will make you feel magnificent. skiing in this part of the country is so much fun the whole season. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit far from the base zone if you want to stay for a few days, but you'd better book before you go given that these hotel rooms
fill up rapidly. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, around here, you won't locate loads of other locations. You'll encounter a lot of skiers from Kalamazoo-Portage here. Please refer to the ski map of Swiss
