Mount Kato   Mount Kato is where I love to ski. No need to go far, just a few minutes and you're there. Says Jay. There are 8 great ski lifts here, and they are admirably maintained and managed by caring folks. Mount Kato has a comparatively modest variety of trails and a decent pick of different ski lifts. A 240 foot altitude difference is naturally not that much, but Mount Kato makes up for it in other ways. Mount Kato has the most sizeable vertical drop for 60 miles.     The 4 feet of snow that fall here yearly doesn’t sound like lots, but it's rather all right. Having 55 acres of skiable area, it's cozy enough to get to know all your fellow skiers. The yearly snowfall is lower than average at this ski hill. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, there are a lot of tremendous locations for that in close proximity. This is an ordinary size ski hill with a medium drop from top to bottom if compared to other mid west ski resorts. Mount Kato has a much lower than average percentage of hard ski trails and a much higher than average percentage of green and blue trails. You'll come across scores of skiers from Mankato-North Mankato here. This ski hill has 19 ski   trails, and they are enjoyable to ski on. Some exercise and spending some quality time in the fresh air are tremendous reasons to come. Hotel rooms are on hand right next door to the base zone, but you'd better reserve prior to departure in view of the fact that these accommodations fill up fast. This is a perfect ski mountain for everyone with a heap of intermediate or beginner trails.
