Grand Geneva
| | Used to Ski at Hot Dog Mountain when owned by Hefner. Great Chile après Ski. Glad to hear it is still open, sans snow this year. 146 year low volume of snow in Chicago this year. Says Jay Furman.
I think Grand Geneva is where I went skiing last year when I was up there visiting some old friends, but it may have been some other similar place. It was my first time skiing, it was great. I fell a lot but you know, you just get up again, that's just the way |
it goes. Looking forward to going again some time. Says Jim Martinez.
This ski mountain has a humble mixture of ski runs and a decent pick of ski lifts. The annual snowfall is less than average at this ski hill. The 2 feet
| of good snow that fall here per year is of course not first-class, but not too shaggy either. All the 16 ski trails here are pretty. This ski hill has a much lower than average share of red and black trails and a much higher than average proportion of easy ski runs. This is a family friendly ski resort with heaps of easy runs. Getting some splendid exercise and getting out of the house for a while have skiers coming here. This is a petite ski area having a | |
|
medium drop when compared to other mid west ski areas. Having a skiing area of 14 acres, it makes for a cozy skiing experience. The 211 foot elevation difference is naturally not that much to brag about, but Grand Geneva has so many
other glorious properties. All 5 lifts at this ski mountain are skillfully looked after and operated by caring people. You'll encounter loads of skiers from Whitewater here. Wisconsin gets exceptionally wonderful during ski season;
it is so wonderful for snowboarding or skiing. The snowboarding and the skiing in this part of the country is a splendid thing to do every day of the snow season. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, there are
a lot of splendid spots for that around here. There are scores of nice places to stay to pick from, but do book a room before heading out since it is a very popular destination.
