Hawksnest
| | Hawks nest was the best in the world. Says Elizabeth Belisle.
Hawksnest is a nice place to go skiing, I recommend it. Says George.
Biggest waste of time & money! $33 per person for 1 hour 45 minutes. We went down two hills! We spent $244 to ride two times. The lines aren't roped off so everybody pushes in front of you and they have no problem knocking your children down. It is extremely unsafe, they were running their snow plow/lane smoother |
while we tubed! This thing has metal caterpillar tracks and the lanes are separated by 6 inch berms...and numerous tubers crossed into other lanes! Talked to the manager, swears it's safe and that if you or your child gets hurt ''I
| don't care, that's your problem''. Says Stacie Fri, 1 Jan 2010.
The 12 runs at this ski mountain are lovely. This ski mountain has a much lower than average fraction of red and black runs and a much higher than average fraction of beginner and intermediate ski trails. This is a relaxed ski resort with an average drop from top to bottom if compared to other mid Atlantic ski mountains. There are 4 different ski lifts here, and they are skillfully looked after | |

and run by friendly people. With a skiing area of 20 acres, it's exceptionally nice and small-size. This ski area has a somewhat small assortment of ski trails and a rather modest number of ski lifts. The annual snowfall is lower
than average at this ski mountain. The annual snowfall of 6 feet keeps the ski trails well covered throughout the winter season. A 619 foot vertical drop is unsurprisingly not that much, but all the other fine qualities of Hawksnest
compensate for it. Getting a little great exercise and spending some quality time in the wilderness will make you delighted you came. Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, this is an area with a lot of locations for that. There are
several tremendous hotel rooms near the bottom of the hill, and if you make reservations prior to departure, you're all set. You'll stumble upon loads of skiers from Boone here. The winter months in North Carolina is truly a great
time of year for snowboarding and skiing. The skiing and the snowboarding in North Carolina is lots of fun every day of the winter season.
Hawksnest ski area Management Says: We are not offering skiing or snowboarding this
winter. Hawksnest is now the largest snow tubing park on the east coast with over 20 lanes of tubing fun. www.hawksnesttubing.com
Special features: currently tubing only
