The 225 foot altitude difference is unsurprisingly not that much to talk about, but Scaly Mountain compensates for it with other things. This ski hill has 10 ski runs, and they are wonderful. This is a small-size ski area having a pretty small-size vertical drop when compared to other     mid Atlantic ski mountains. Scaly Mountain receives less than average snow each season. Every snow season this ski area gets 6 feet of snow, and that keeps the coverage magnificent. Scaly Mountain has a comparatively modest assortment of trails and few ski lifts. Having 12 acres of terrain, it's more of a small-size style ski resort. Skiing and snowboarding in this part of the country is so much fun all ski season long. Good exercise and just being on the ski slopes for a while beats anything. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, in this general region, you'll come upon lots of ski resorts. The Blue Ridge Mountains blanketed in snow is a pure snowboarding and skiing delight. This ski resort   has 4 good ski lifts, and they make for a calming ride up the slope. Lots of skiers drive up here from Seneca, specially on the weekends. This ski hill has a much lower than average part of demanding slopes and a much higher than average ratio of green and blue trails. The nearest ski mountain having a higher vertical drop is 35 miles away. No need to hunt hard for lodgings, but do reserve a room before you go because it is a very popular destination. The snow blanketed hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains give this ski resort an extraordinarily perfect view. Scaly Mountain is a great ski area for everybody with many intermediate or beginner ski slopes. North Carolina gets enormously beautiful in winter; it is the most majestic time of the year for snowboarding and skiing.
