Big Boulder
| | Looking for a day around Feb 8th. for tubing. Says Joanie Ford.
All 7 lifts at this ski mountain are exciting to get a ride with. A 475 foot drop from top to bottom is unsurprisingly not that much, but all the other good characteristics of Big Boulder make up for it. Having a skiing area of 55 acres, it's cozy enough to get to know all your fellow ski people. This ski hill has 16 runs, and they are exciting to ski on. The 4 feet of great snow that |
falls here per year is naturally not world-class, but not that bad either. Some people prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this neighborhood has many ski resorts. This ski resort has a much lower than average percentage
| of black and red slopes and a much higher than average proportion of intermediate or beginner runs. This ski hill has a small set of runs and an acceptable total of good ski lifts. A little exercise and a chance to spend some time in nature surpasses anything. Please refer to the trailmap of Big Boulder on this net page for info. This is a mid-size ski mountain boasting a drop from top to bottom that's roughly speaking average compared to other mid Atlantic | |
|
ski mountains. Loads of skiers travel up here from East Stroudsburg, specifically on the weekends. The annual snowfall is less than average at Big Boulder. Big Boulder is a nice ski mountain for everyone with a lot of beginner and
intermediate slopes. Skiing and snowboarding in this part of the country is a great thing to do throughout the snow season. Pennsylvania gets enormously lovely during snow season; it is so lovely for skiing or snowboarding.
