Massanutten
| | Here in Virginia Massanutten is my top choice for skiing any day. Nice little beginner area on one side and a pretty big advanced area on the other side. It's a very well run resort. Says Ronald Brown.
Massanutten gets covered by less snowfall than the local average every winter season. The 1,110 feet of drop from top to bottom is reasonably reasonable; it's enough to get some decent time on the ski runs between lifts. All the 14 ski runs here are totally |
enjoyable. The 8 different ski lifts here are competently maintained and run by pleasant people. This ski resort has a much lower than average part of expert and advanced ski trails and a much higher than average part of blue and
| green ski slopes. The nearest ski resort in possession of a more soaring elevation difference is 85 miles away. This ski hill has a fairly small array of ski slopes and an acceptable choice of good ski lifts. There are lots of great places to stay to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations, you could end up slumbering in your automobile. The hills of Virginia blanketed in good snow are a wonderful spot for skiing or snowboarding. Whether you're skiing | |
|
or snowboarding, this is a vicinity with a lot of spots for that. Having 70 acres of skiable territory, it makes for a cozy skiing experience. This is a magnificent spot for everybody with a lot of beginner and intermediate ski runs.
The Blue Ridge Mountains in winter is an extraordinarily wonderful spot if you love skiing or snowboarding. The annual snowfall of 4 feet doesn’t sound like a heap, but it's quite okay. Massanutten is a mid-size ski resort with a
relatively towering drop from top to bottom when compared to other mid Atlantic ski resorts. The trailmap on this page will give you a good idea what Massanutten is like. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of Virginia is lots of
fun the whole season. The snow blanketed hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a scenery worth seeing. A pleasant workout and just being on the trails for a while have folks coming here. Winter in the mountains of Virginia and all
the pleasant slopes are certain to keep you coming back.
Special features: Indoor waterpark, Peaked Mt. Express Tube hill
