Ski Sunrise   Back in the old days when I lived in the area I used to ski here sometimes. It has a cozier feel than the bigger resorts nearby. Says Chris. The 24 slopes at this ski mountain are exciting to ski on. There's 100 acres of skiable territory, and all of it makes for good skiing. With a 816 foot vertical drop it's not the highest hill there is, but Ski Sunrise has so many other nice qualities. All of the 4 ski lifts are skillfully kept up and controlled     by caring folks. Ski Sunrise is a small-size ski area featuring a relatively cozy elevation difference if compared to other west coast ski resorts. Ski Sunrise has an okay mixture of runs and a somewhat modest amount of ski lifts. You have to go 46 miles to get to a ski resort featuring a bigger elevation difference. A great workout and just hanging out with your skiing mates will have you returning for more. The yearly snowfall is around average at Ski Sunrise. The San Gabriel Mountains in winter is a one hundred percent skiing and snowboarding delight. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, there are a lot of great ski mountains for that close by. The snow here gets   extremely deep, 12 feet per winter, and that is one of the reasons this is such a wonderful ski resort. Ski Sunrise has a much lower than average proportion of difficult slopes and a much higher than average ratio of green and blue runs. The snowy summits of California are a splendid site for skiing and snowboarding. Scores of skiers from Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana like to ski here. Winter in the mountains of California and the kick of coasting down a slope have a lot of snow people coming here. Snowboarding and skiing in this region is so much fun during the season. The nearby places to stay are a bit away from the base zone, but do book a room in advance of a trip as it is a very popular destination. Ski Sunrise is a family friendly ski mountain with loads of easy slopes for learners. The snow blanketed summits of the San Gabriel Mountains give this ski resort an incredibly splendid vista.
