Otis Ridge
| | I love Otis Ridge. They have a wonderfull program, and people looking forward to this year. Says Nicole.
I went to the snowboard camp at Otis Ridge last year. Hope I get to go again this year. Says Dorothy.
This ski mountain has a small selection of runs and enough ski lifts to serve them all. This is a cozy ski area in possession of a cozy altitude difference if compared to other east coast ski areas. The 6 feet of ice cold snow that fall |
here annually keeps the coverage delightful. With a 400 foot drop it's not the highest hill there is, but Otis Ridge compensates for it in other ways. With a skiing area of 60 acres, it's extremely likable and small. This ski resort
| has a much lower than average percentage of black and red ski trails and a much higher than average share of intermediate or beginner runs. All the 11 slopes here are wonderful. There are 5 ski lifts here, and they are in wonderful condition. The yearly snowfall is less than average at Otis Ridge. The wintertime in Massachusetts is the most wonderful time of the year for skiing and snowboarding. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the main area | |
|
if you want to spend the night, but do reserve a room before you go since it is a very popular destination. The snowboarding and the skiing in this part of the country is a lot of fun every day of the winter. Whether you're skiing
or snowboarding, there are lots of glorious places for that around here. Otis Ridge is a delightful site for the whole family with lots of easy slopes.
Special features: Overnight camp for skiers and boarders age 8-16 during school vacation periods.
