Spout Springs   My family and I had a wonderful time at this resort. All three kids successfully learned to ski while my wife and I enjoyed good food and a full bar. I would recommend this place to anyone willing to make the drive! The reviews say it is a small hill but it is the same size as any of the competition in the area (Bluewood & Anthony Lakes. ) Plus, it is the only one out of the three that is still family run. (The above mentioned two are now as of 2010-2011     season run by state and county entities) Says Ralph. Spout Springs has an average share of difficult trails and an average fraction of beginner and intermediate trails. Spout Springs is a relaxed ski hill featuring a quite cozy altitude difference compared to other west coast ski hills. This ski hill has a rather humble set of trails and quite few ski lifts. There's 400 acres of terrain, and it's all in good condition. With a 600 foot altitude difference it's not the highest hill there is, but all the other delightful characteristics of Spout Springs make up for it. You have to go 21 miles to get to a ski hill featuring a fuller-scale altitude difference. This ski hill   obtains heavier than average snow every season. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, in this general vicinity, you won't run into many other ski resorts. The wintertime months in Oregon is so gorgeous for snowboarding or skiing. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the base area if you want to stay for a few days, and if you make reservations before heading out, you're all set. This ski area has 14 trails, and they are wonderful. The fantastic yearly snowfall of 25 feet is one of the greatest features of this ski hill. The skiing and the snowboarding in this region is scores of fun every day of the snow season. The mountains of the Blue Mountains make for a delightful landscape. The Blue Mountains in wintertime is so gorgeous you won’t believe it. Great exercise and spending some quality time in the outdoors are tremendous reasons to come. You get loads of skiers traveling up here from La Grande on snow-white weekends.
