Ski Areas > Central Asia and Middle East > Gulmarg, India

I only skied outside India before I tried Gulmarg. Don't expect a lift system like in well-known western resorts here. It's just a few lifts and a few runs. However, the snow conditions are insanely good. If you're a hardcore skier, you will like it. Says Pradeep.

This ski resort has a comparatively humble set of ski trails and quite few ski lifts. This ski hill has 4 great ski lifts, and they make for a relaxing ride up the mountain. The 11 slopes at this ski area are gorgeous. This ski mountain has a vertical drop of
4,293 feet which is beyond doubt extraordinary. This ski mountain has a much higher than average part of demanding ski trails and a part of easy ski trails much lower than average. The snowboarding and the skiing in this part of the country is scores of fun all
through the snow season. There are some real foot shattering runs at Gulmarg, man; but you must do what you must do, true? Gulmarg is a good size ski mountain with a pretty soaring height difference when compared to other Central Asia and Middle East ski areas. The peaks of India in winter are always good for skiing or snowboarding. Having such a full-scale ski terrain, 708 acres in all you will never lack skiing land. The natural beauty of the India hills and the good feeling of rocketing down the slopes have ski folks
coming from near and far. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, there are scores of delightful ski areas for that close at hand. There's a ski map of Gulmarg on this net page for your reference. Getting your skiing muscles set in motion and getting out of the house for a while are delightful reasons to come.
