SNOW CAMPING TENTS

Picking a good snow camping tent that fits your snow camping habits is probably pretty easy since pretty much all snow camping tents on the market are designed for Himalayan expeditions so they are all more than tough enough for snow camping on the highest peaks in the lower 48 states. All snow camping tents on this page are good, otherwise they wouldn't be on it.

This snow camping tent is designed for ease of use on difficult terrain. It's a free-standing, 5-pole, snow camping tent with an exoskeleton frame. The shell is attached to the inside tent so the whole tent can be pitched in one operation. This snow camping tent has a relatively low pack weight but it's a bit short, no problem if you're not extremely tall but if you are it's too small. This snow camping tent is very tough but a bit small for two people unless maybe if they're a romantic couple. It's a good snow camping tent for lone snow campers though. It's a very warm snow camping tent. This is a very roomy snow camping tent for 2 people. It is also a strong and tough snow camping tent. This snow camping tent has a relatively low pack weight at the same time as it has plenty of space for 2 people.

This snow camping tent has a large front framed vestibule and a smaller rear vestibule for added protection and storage for snow camping gear. This snow camping tent has a large vestibule with plenty of space to store snow camping gear. It is also a very watertight snow camping tent. This snow camping tent is roomy enough for very tall people. It's a bit hard to set up but it's very warm and dry. This snow camping tent is strong and sturdy but a bit small for 3 people.

Keep in mind though that nothing beats a snow shelter made of snow in terms of warmth, strength, and of course the pack weight is zero. Please check out our sections on igloo making and snow cave making for more info.
