Silverton   With 1,800 acres of skiable terrain you will never be short of skiing territory. This ski area gets covered by greater snowfall than the local average every snow season. Silverton's drop from top to bottom of 3,200 feet is amazing. This ski hill has a much higher than average fraction of tough slopes and a much lower than average fraction of beginner and intermediate slopes. This is an average size ski resort boasting a roughly average height difference when     you compare it to other ski areas in the region. This ski area is a cozy location, and folks who work there are very pleasant. The gorgeous panorama of the Colorado mountains and the glorious feeling of zipping down the slopes are in themselves incentive enough to come here to ski.
